For vet tech schools in Indiana, there is the Purdue University that offers an on-campus and online veterinary technology program. The online program grants an associate in applied science degree and is ideal for individuals already working with vets and are seriously committed to the profession. It will take dedication and self discipline to complete online studies but it allows flexibility to study and work at the same time. Clinicals under the online program are for 17 credit hours and done under the supervision of a veterinarian. the on-campus program awards a bachelor of science degree. Harrison College also has its School of Veterinary Technology. Accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the school has two programs: a certificate course for veterinary assistants and an associate in applied science degree for veterinary technologists. It’s 36 credit hours for the former and 100 credit hours for the latter, plus eligibility to sit for the certification exam and be granted the registered veterinary technician title.
